Well I finaly took some decent pictures of me in the kilt I made from old pants. All of these pants were old pants I used to wear and had gotten so many holes in them that I could no longer wear them. Sooooo I made a skirt from them
I use this when I am blacksmithing. It keeps me cooler than pants and still protects me I think better partly because of the dual thickness in front from the overlapping sides. There are a few design changes I would make to this if I made it again just to make it lay better. But all in all I think it turned out quite well.
The top right picture is the kilt/skirt layed out flat and you are looking at the inside of the kilt/skirt. The bottom is the outside.
Most of it was done on my old singer sewing maching and some of it was done by hand.
