Stew made out of leftovers. quite tasty.

I have grown to love stew all the more as I grow older. Wonderfull way to use up leftovers. :D This one is lots of garlic, potatoes, carrots, onions, 1 full lemon, chives, pork, and many spices that smelled wonderfull.

Indeed. Sadly most cooking is limited to the cooks perceptions. I love using stuff don't normally associate with food or in ways people don't really think to do them. :D I so need to make bread sometime. MMMMM..

thanks.

Well there was that one time...

I mean things like using egg shells/meal, thistle leaves, dandilion roots, Other edible things. :D flowers and sticks and such.

When I was a short order cook a dishwasher asked me once if we used bayleaves in cooking. I said yeah of course in soups and such. She was like I would never eat those eww leaves. I responded don't you know that all spices are eather leaf, twig, or root. Her response "not cinemon" I just turned around and walked away. considering cinomen is seen all the time in its rolled up bark form I felt her coment didn't deserve a response.

and thats kinda part of the reason I enjoy using things I wouldn't even think of using sometimes. Makes it all the more interesting.

yeah its the bark of a tree.. Haha... i once watched a documentary when the indigenous people had steamed tarantula rice in bamboo.. Asian cooking has pineapple rice served in the pineapple... coconut milk to rice all kinds of stuff.... bamboo sometimes is a condiment... Actually i have a book on trees and almost every tree has some medicinal value... The coconut tree is totally useful... Million of used from every part of it...
